If you’re an enthusiastic junior technical author or a recent IT Graduate with a genuine interest in starting/developing your career in technical communications, this is an opportunity not to be missed. With the guidance and support of your colleagues, you will Create, edit and maintain (online and PDF) how-to guides, videos, webinars, eLearning modules, help portal content, and release notes to support and educate internal and external users on the Company Cloud Platform (LCP) product line and related systems and functionality. This is an excellent opportunity to expand your knowledge of technical writing, video design and production, webinar development and presentation, technical communications and release notes best practice. You will also gain experience in working with development and support teams, consultants, subject matter experts and heads of department to research, develop, and deliver accessible, single-source, reusable content.

Responsibilities Duties:

Engage with Developers and User Group Subject Matter Experts in order to create valuable and useful content Through understanding the use cases of the software being delivered and maintained, act as first point of contact for support teams fielding user queries Create and maintain user-facing content for how-to guides, videos, webinars, eLearning modules, help portal, training materials Work with DevOps resources to ensure maximal automation of publication of release notes and technical documentation from content provided by developers Explain technical content to different audiences Update help site CSS stylesheets Add courses to moodle-based eLearning site Review colleagues' work and suggest improvements Act as a sounding board for the people who manage and program LCP Accept feedback and update and improve existing content Understand enough to know that your text will make sense to people who need to know the information. Keep asking questions until you get an answer you can use. Monitor statistics about use of the help site

Experiance Qualifications:

Monitor and respond to issues logged against the documentation Contribute to the working methods and processes of the team Ability to work independently to tight deadlines, across multiple projects simultaneously Ability to put oneself in the shoes of a software user Experience of working with a Learning Management System (preferably Moodle) Experience of working with Agile development teams Experience of working as part of an Agile documentation team
