Supporting DB2 security requests
Review DB2 security to find potential risks.
Ensure DB2 related admin tasks are in line with SAP requirements
Responsibilities Duties:
This individual will need to work with DB2 across multiple clients to achieve desired business results in SAP environments.
Responsible for all DB2 support including process ownership working with global support teams.
Provide on-call Level 3 support on 24 x 7.
Follow ITSM change control procedures.
Experience establishing policies and procedures pertaining to database management, DR, security, maintenance and utilization.
Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Must be able to multi-task and work under short deadlines and in high pressure situations against SLAs
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentations)
Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently and interface directly with clients
Selected applicant will be subject to a background investigation, which will be conducted and the results of which will be used in compliance with applicable law.
Key Skills:
Bachelor's degree required and/or equivalent work experience.
5 years of professional experience in DB2 for administration and application support.
Extensive experience with the following:
Administrating and supporting DB2 across SAP applications
Support multiple DB2 subsystems simultaneously.
Analyzing new versions of DB2 for functionality that can improve client's systems.
Proactively provide capacity planning monthly.
Knowledge of refreshing test data for whole environments
Manage SAP consultations for problems and questions
Reviewing, tuning of internal DB2 buffer pools and SQL code
DR recovery of application objects
Experiance Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required and/or equivalent work experience.
5 years of professional experience in DB2 for administration and application support.
Extensive experience with the following:
