As a SAP OS/DB Migration SME, have a proven track record of large and complex SAP OS/DB Migrations to the cloud and an in-depth experience in various DBs and OS flavours SAP runs on -
The team have a key responsibility for delivery of SAP OS/DB Migrations of very large DBs using a combination of SAP standard tools like SWPM, migmon, R3load, SAPuptool, R3ta, SAP system copy tools, SUM-DMO and ’ own enhancement on top of these tools to effect a low downtime migration method that allows some of the data to be migrated online.
You will work closely with our operations teams, architects and other DevOps engineers to help meet the day to day business needs of ’ core business, SAP on Cloud
Responsibilities Duties:
SAP OS/DB Migration delivery: Provide expert level skills and hands-on delivery of complex SAP OS/DB migration using ’ methodology on migration projects including technical pre-sales support.
Project Planning - work closely with delivery teams and clients for designing large SAP Migration projects
Development – work closely with development team working on Automation and enhancement of our LCP Migrate feature
Deployment – work closely with ’ automation and build teams, provide build specs for large SAP DBs on various DBs like Oracle, DB2LuW, Sybase ASE and HANA
Maintenance and Troubleshooting – Assist and perform troubleshooting of complex issues during SAP OS/DB Migrations and upgrades during migration project
Key Skills:
Minimum of 10-12yrs experience in SAP Basis with several full cycle SAP OS/DB Migration projects
Extensive hands-on experience in using SAP’s migration and upgrade tools such as SWPM, migmon/R3load, SUM-DMO, SUM etc., especially looking for hands-on experience in dealing with advanced SAP Migration techniques using manual migmon, table splitting, parallel export/import, Parallel SUM-DMO with System-move.
Experience in dealing with migration and performance tuning of large >10TB SAP DBs is mandatory (any source or target DB supported by SAP)
Hands-on DBA experience in SAP environments for major DBs like Oracle and DB2 LuW. – At least 10 years in SAP envs
Hands-on OS level system admin skills in SAP environments – OS Shell scripting experience a major plus
Several full-cycle OS/DB Migration project hands-on experience, SAP OS/DB Migration certification a big plus
Experience in dealing with migration of multiple large 10+TB SAP databases
Certifications in any of the major DBs like Oracle or DB2LuW highly desirable
SAP Migration Certifications a major plus
Experience in S/4 conversions using DoC is also highly desirable
Automation experience using Python desirable
Experience and knowledge in Cloud Infrastructure
Experience or knowledge of SAP ABAP and RFC functions
Knowledge of Agile methodologies
Experience architecting HA solutions at scale for SAP environments on various cloud platforms desirable
Experience and knowledge in moderately complex SQL language and data models (in-depth knowledge of SAP ECC Data Model a big Plus)
