Network Engineer
Job Description
Implement, maintain, and support network infrastructure for both internal and client environments.
Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of network systems by monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess network requirements and develop solutions that meet business needs.
Configure and optimize network devices such as firewalls, load balancers, and other cloud network infrastructure.
Perform network capacity planning and recommend enhancements to support future growth.
Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs.
Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and address potential risks.
Responsibilities Duties:
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network-related issues, both internally and for clients.
Document network configurations, processes, and procedures for knowledge sharing and future reference.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to networking and security.
Participate in on-call rotations and respond to network emergencies outside of regular business hours.
Collaborate with vendors and service providers to procure network equipment and services as needed.
Assist in the development and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans for network infrastructure.
Key Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience working as a Network Engineer, preferably in a similar role within a corporate or enterprise environment.
Proficient in working autonomously with minimal supervision.
Familiarity with automated provisioning of virtualized infrastructure.
Proven participation in projects covering the entire lifecycle, from initial planning and design to deployment, configuration, and migration.
In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), and network security principles.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues effectively.
Experiance Qualifications:
Familiarity with cloud networking concepts and platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with clients and stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
