NICU Nurse
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate NICU Nurse to join a leading healthcare organization in Dubai. The NICU Nurse will provide specialized care to critically ill or premature newborns, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety, clinical excellence, and family-centered care. The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in neonatal critical care, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 2 years of recent NICU or neonatal critical care experience in a hospital setting.
- Valid nursing license from home country.
- Eligibility for nursing license in Dubai (DHA eligibility, license, or willingness to obtain).
- Strong knowledge of neonatal care procedures, ventilators, and critical care equipment.
- Excellent clinical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure critical care environment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.
- Experience in tertiary care or internationally accredited hospitals is an advantage.
- Willing to work in Dubai, UAE.
Responsibilities Duties:
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill or premature newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
- Monitor and assess neonates’ vital signs, neurological status, oxygenation, and overall condition, reporting any significant changes promptly.
- Operate and monitor advanced neonatal life-support equipment, including ventilators, incubators, cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, and phototherapy devices.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and specialized treatments as prescribed by neonatologists and pediatricians.
- Assist physicians during emergency procedures, neonatal resuscitation, and critical interventions.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary neonatal care team.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, treatment plans, and progress.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, safety standards, and healthcare regulations.
- Provide emotional support, education, and guidance to parents and families regarding the care and development of their newborns.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, case reviews, and continuing professional development programs.
