QA QC Engineer
Job Description
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred)
• 4–5 years of experience in Mechanical Quality Control, specifically in welding and inspection
• CISWP (Certified International Welding Specialist) certification required
• In-depth knowledge of welding standards, materials, and mechanical systems
• Proficiency in quality control tools and techniques, including inspection and NDT
• Familiarity with construction industry codes and standards (ASME, ASTM, etc.)
Responsibilities Duties:
• Perform quality control inspections on mechanical systems and components, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.
• Inspect welding work and conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) to verify welding quality and integrity.
• Ensure that welding processes and materials are in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Review and verify material certifications, welding procedures, and inspection reports.
• Identify, document, and report any non-conformities or discrepancies in mechanical and welding work.
• Coordinate with project managers and contractors to resolve quality issues and provide guidance on quality standards.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining quality assurance documentation and reports.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and assessments throughout the project lifecycle to ensure high-quality work is completed on schedule.
