Junior Accountant
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to join our dynamic media company in Dubai. The ideal candidate will support our finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, contributing to the smooth financial operations of the organization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or related field.
- Prior internship or 1-2 years' experience in accounting or finance, preferably within the media industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- VAT knowledge and filing expertise isa must.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Understanding of UAE financial regulations and VAT is a plus.
Responsibilities Duties:
- Assist in preparing financial statements and reports to support management decisions.
- Maintaining and tracking all requirement with regards to the VAT filing.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions in a timely manner.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Collaborate with internal departments to gather financial data and validate transactions.
- Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and company policies.
- Assist with payroll processing and other accounting tasks as assigned.
- Help with auditing processes and documentation preparation.
