Job Description

Our Regarded MEP Contracting client has a new requirement for a number of well experienced MEP QA/QC Engineers to join their team in Dubai. Successful candidates will have strong MEP QA/QC Inspection experience on high profile New Build projects such as high rise, commercial and data centre projects and have worked for recognised UAE Contracting or MEP Contracting companies in the UAE previously.

MEP QA/QC Engineer Experience:

• Engineering degree or diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in construction of new build projects
• Must have relevant experience working in a similar role in a recognised contracting company
• Familiarity with Dubai authorities such as DEWA, DCD, TRAKHEES, DM
• Good written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with project personnel and management.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications and be thoroughly familiar with construction related processes related to area of assignment

Responsibilities Duties:

• Reporting on Quality performance.
• Reviewing of all sub-contractors quality and testing, submissions for contract compliance.
• Carrying out surveillance activities on sub-contractor’s construction activities to ensure compliance with approved methods/materials.
• Conducting internal training where appropriate.
• Issuing regular guidance and information to quality department and engineering staff to ensure key issues are effectively managed.
• Assisting senior construction staff to monitor and close non-conformances.
• Reporting on Quality performance at construction meetings.
• Reviewing of all sub-contractors quality and testing, submissions for contract compliance
• Review submitted shop drawings against contract drawings and specifications, local codes and statutory requirements and international best practice.
• Report any works carried out by sub-contractor found to not be in accordance with approved drawing and specifications and report to stakeholders for appropriate action.
• Monitor quality of works and assess the safety at site including health and environmental issues, ensuring compliance with contractual /
• QCS specifications and safety and health risk assessments.
• Maintain records for daily activities on site including progress photos and ensure they are readily available for inspection as and when required.
• Prepare surveillance report(s) for deficiencies of work found at site and non conformance reports (NCR) if required in view of the development of events.
• Check and ensure effective co-ordination between discipline related works and all other disciplines.
• Provide technical input and experiences to resolve any discipline related issues on site that may arise.
