Job Description
• A minimum of Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate is typically required.
• Previous experience in a cooking role, preferably in a childcare or educational setting, is often preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff regarding dietary needs and meal planning.
• Strong organizational skills to manage kitchen operations, including meal preparation and inventory management.
• Must have experience in Russian, CIS, Slavic, European cuisine
Responsibilities Duties:
• Meal Preparation: Prepare, cook, and present age-appropriate meals in accordance with the nursery's menu, dietary requirements, and food safety standards.
• Food Safety Compliance: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
• Menu Planning: Develop and implement a balanced menu that caters to the nutritional needs of children, taking into account allergies and cultural dietary requirements.
• Inventory Management: Conduct weekly stock checks, manage food orders, and ensure proper storage of food items to minimize waste and adhere to budget constraints.
• Collaboration: Work closely with nursery staff and management to communicate dietary needs and ensure a safe dining experience for all children.
• Training and Development: Stay updated with food safety training and participate in necessary child protection training to ensure compliance with safeguarding policies.
