Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic News Editor to join our media team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing the news content, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and engaging storytelling, while leading a team of journalists to deliver high-quality news coverage across multiple platforms.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in journalism with at least 2 years in an editorial leadership role.
- Strong understanding of news production processes and media laws.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in digital news platforms and content management systems.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
- Passionate about delivering factual and compelling news to a diverse audience.
Responsibilities Duties:
- Lead and manage the daily news operations, including planning, editing, and publishing news content.
- Supervise and mentor a team of reporters, editors, and correspondents to maintain high editorial standards.
- Ensure all news content is accurate, balanced, and complies with legal and ethical standards.
- Coordinate with other departments such as digital, production, and marketing to maximize content reach.
- Monitor news trends and provide strategic input to enhance coverage and audience engagement.
- Manage breaking news coverage with speed and precision, ensuring timely updates across all channels.
- Oversee the development and editing of various media formats including online articles, video scripts, and social media posts.
