Operations Manager
Job Description
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in banking operations at a managerial level.
• Strong understanding of CBUAE regulations, Sharia compliance, Islamic banking standards, and banking operational procedures.
• Knowledge of transaction processing, accounting/bookkeeping practices, and operational process improvements.
• Excellent communication, analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong command of English (written and spoken)
Responsibilities Duties:
• Manage and oversee banking operations, including remittances (FTS/SWIFT), WPS, DDS, cheque clearing, manager’s cheques/demand drafts, standing orders, auto sweeps, journal entries, and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Lead account management and compliance processes, including account opening/closure, fixed deposits, KYC reviews, documentation follow-ups, static data maintenance, and enforcement of customer confidentiality.
• Supervise reporting, audits, and operational controls, preparing month-end and ad hoc reports, performing voucher checks, handling internal/external queries, and maintaining proper filing and archiving.
• Drive operational improvements and team management, including UAT testing, monitoring documentation discrepancies, following up on expired licenses/IDs, executing clean-ups, supporting projects, and training staff.
