HSE Engineer
Job Description
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
- Nebosh & SAAS approved.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of local and international health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Responsibilities Duties:
- Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures in line with local and international standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify potential hazards in the workplace.
- Work with project managers to develop and maintain project-specific safety plans.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Investigate accidents and incidents and provide recommendations for prevention.
- Provide safety training and awareness programs to employees and contractors.
- Maintain accurate records of all safety-related activities and incidents.
- Liaise with government agencies and other relevant bodies to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Keep up-to-date with new safety regulations and industry best practices.
