Labor & Delivery (L&D RN)
Job Description
What You’ll Do:

Deliver comprehensive nursing care across Labor & Delivery, OB, and Mother-Baby units.

Manage laboring patients (1:1–1:2 ratios) and postpartum couplets (1:3 ratio).

Support patients through all birth phases, provide newborn assessments, and assist with recovery and education.

Maintain readiness to respond to emergent situations while fostering a calm, patient-centered experience.

Participate in the Paragon charting system and ensure accurate, detailed documentation.
Responsibilities Duties:

24 Guaranteed Hours Weekly
-
Call Required when shifts are canceled (may float as helping hands during low census)

Flexible Days/Evenings | Weekend & Holiday Rotations per Unit Needs
Key Skills:

Experiance Qualifications:

Active NYS RN License
-
Minimum 2 Years of Recent L&D/OB Experience

Certifications:
-
BLS, ACLS (AHA Required)
-
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
-
AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
-
NIHSS Certification (Required at Submission)
-
6 CEUs on Stroke-Related Topics (Prior to Start)
-

Scrub Experience Preferred but not required
-
Must complete a proctored EKG exam on Day 1
