We focus on high-end services, new technologies and solutions, supplementing day-to-day services provided through client internal teams and/or offshore service providers.   We are leading the UK in deployment of SAP on the Amazon EC2 Cloud and are an Amazon Service Partner and Reseller. We are keeping an eye on HANA as the next big thing to invest in. We provide Technical Architecture, Enterprise Release Management, Project and Business as Usual Basis Services. We have core capabilities in the deployment of SAP Solution Manager.  We are investing in Service Automation to make our service more competitive and more consistent, amongst others utilizing products from UC4 and Basis Technologies.

Responsibilities Duties:

Technical Requirements:

• Extensive SAP Basis Administration Experience:
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration across a wide range of SAP solutions (ECC, S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, CRM, PI/PO, Solution Manager).
• Proven track record of managing large-scale, complex SAP environments, including end-to-end architecture, deployment, upgrades, and system migrations.

Cloud Expertise:

• Deep expertise in managing SAP systems on public, private, and hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience in leading large-scale migrations of SAP workloads to cloud platforms, including planning, execution, and post-migration support.
• Advanced knowledge of cloud-native services, multi-cloud architectures, and SAP-specific cloud offerings such as SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud (HEC) and SAP Cloud Platform (SCP).

SAP HANA and S/4HANA:

• Extensive experience with SAP HANA database administration, including performance tuning, capacity planning, backup/recovery, and high availability.
• Proficiency in S/4HANA architecture and experience with greenfield/brownfield implementations and migrations from ECC to S/4HANA.

Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting:

• Expertise in performance optimization of SAP applications in cloud environments, including detailed analysis of database, application, and infrastructure bottlenecks.
• In-depth troubleshooting skills, capable of resolving the most complex technical issues, both in on-premises and cloud environments.

Disaster Recovery, High Availability, and Backup Solutions:

• Strong experience in architecting and implementing disaster recovery (DR) and high-availability (HA) solutions for SAP environments in the cloud.
• Familiarity with clustering, failover mechanisms, and cross-region/cross-cloud backup and recovery strategies for SAP systems.

Security and Compliance in Cloud Environments:

• Expertise in securing SAP systems in the cloud, including network security, identity and access management (IAM), data encryption, and security monitoring.

Automation and Infrastructure-as-Code:

• Experience with cloud automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) for provisioning and managing SAP landscapes.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for SAP, leveraging tools such as Jenkins, Git, and automated testing frameworks.

Monitoring and Management Tools:

• Proficiency in advanced monitoring tools like SAP Solution Manager, cloud-native tools (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor), and third-party solutions like Dynatrace or Splunk.
• Ability to implement proactive monitoring and automated alerting for critical SAP workloads in cloud environments.

SAP System Architecture & Design:

• Extensive experience in designing robust and scalable SAP architectures, including sizing, capacity planning, and cloud resource optimization.
• Strong knowledge of SAP infrastructure, including virtualization, networking, and storage in cloud environments.

Leadership and Strategic Responsibilities:

Leadership and Mentorship:

• Proven ability to lead and mentor SAP Basis teams, providing technical direction, oversight, and strategic vision.
• Capable of developing and upskilling junior Basis consultants, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Cloud Strategy and Advisory:

• Experience in defining and implementing cloud strategies for enterprise SAP landscapes, including migration roadmaps, cost optimization, and operational excellence.
• Ability to act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations on cloud adoption, transformation, and best practices for SAP environments.

Project Leadership and Execution:

• Experience in leading complex, large-scale SAP cloud migration projects, from initial planning through to successful delivery and post-go-live support.
• Strong project management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and ensuring alignment between technical teams and business objectives.

Customer Engagement and Stakeholder Management:

• Ability to work directly with clients and stakeholders, understanding their business requirements and translating them into SAP cloud solutions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executives.

Vendor and Partner Management:

• Experience in working with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and SAP partners to ensure alignment with cloud best practices and contractual agreements.
• Capable of managing third-party vendors for implementation and support of SAP systems in cloud environments.

Certifications (preferred but not mandatory):

1.     SAP Certified Technology Professional (e.g., SAP HANA, S/4HANA, SAP Cloud).
2.     Cloud Certifications like AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Architect.
3.     Project Management Certifications such as PMP or Agile/Scrum methodologies.
4.     ITIL or other service management certifications.
