FinOps Expertise:
• Proven experience in FinOps projects and initiatives, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of financial operations in the cloud..
Cloud Financial Governance and CoE Setup:
• Establishing and defining Cloud FinOps Centers of Excellence (CoEs) and governance models for mid-sized to large organizations.
Collaboration with IT Procurement:
• Experience collaborating with IT procurement teams to optimize cloud-related financial processes.
Cloud Vendor Experience:
• Hands-on experience working with one or more cloud vendors, including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Familiarity with cloud contracting models, commitment models, and licensing structures.
Cost Optimization Techniques:
• In-depth knowledge of cloud cost optimization techniques across storage, data transfer, compute, database, and monitoring.
Cloud Strategies and Operations:
• Proficient understanding of cloud strategies, Dev-Sec-Ops practices, and cloud-based operations.
Tools Experience:
• Hands-on working experience in one or more FinOps and Technology Business Management (TBM) tools like Cloudability, Apptio, CloudCheckr, Cloudhealth, AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, etc
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Operations Engineering/Consulting.
• Degree in a relevant field.
• Cloud practitioner certification.
• FinOps certification (Desirable).
• Minimum of 10 years SAP Basis experience across multiple SAP components
• Experience with SAP Basis and NetWeaver Administration
• Hands on experience in supporting customer SAP systems and/or implementing and/or migrating SAP systems preferably to AWS, Azure or GCP
• Experience in SAP Backup and Recovery, SAP Basis Monitoring, SAP Patch Management, Router Configuration, SAP Kernel Administration and SAP HANA
• Experience in working in multiple customer environments each directly for the customer or as a 3rd party provider
• Proficient in ITIL processes especially Incident, Service Request and Problem Management
• Excellent English language written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a global team
• Experience of either AWS, Azure, GCP
• Candidates hired for this role will be required to work rotating shifts to facilitate 24/7 support
• Selected applicant will be subject to a background investigation, which will be conducted and the results of which will be used in compliance with applicable law.
Responsibilities Duties:
Release Planning and Coordination :
- Collaborate with project managers, development teams, and business stakeholders to plan release schedules.
- Ensure that release plans align with business objectives and technical feasibility.
System Maintenance and Upgrades :
- Manage and execute system upgrades, patches, and hotfixes.
- Ensure minimal downtime and disruption during system maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with functional teams to validate system changes post-upgrade.
Environment Management :
- Oversee the setup, configuration, and maintenance of SAP environments (development, testing, production).
- Ensure consistency and integrity across different environments.
Security and Compliance :
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect SAP systems.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Conduct security audits and apply necessary patches and upgrades.
Documentation and Reporting :
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all Basis activities and processes.
- Generate and present regular reports on system performance, upgrades, and other critical metrics.
- Be part of a 24/7 rotating shift team on a monthly rotating shift
- Deploying tooling to support the automation of basis and infrastructure activities
Transformation Programs:
- Work on cutting-edge SAP IT transformation programs, analyzing client IT and controlling processes, and providing guidance on the design and implementation of SAP operations.
- Play a lead role in mapping out improvements to client working practices and articulate the value of those changes.
Project Delivery:
- Demonstrate familiarity with SRE (Site Reliability Engineering), ITIL, and TOGAF methodologies
- Leading a stream of work a part of a larger engagement.
- Producing high-quality deliverables, and providing crucial input to shape the strategic direction for discovery, design and implementation projects.
- Leverage and maximize clients' investments in ITSM tools and frameworks.
Transformation Roadmaps:
- Develop comprehensive roadmaps and interim states for transitioning from on-premise SAP basis operations models to SAP Basis Cloud models for hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
Practice and Sales support:
- Support pre-sales activities by creating or contributing to proposals, statements of work and responses to customers questions.
- Demonstrations and be able to articulate the benefits of FinOps services.
- Identification of existing customer sales opportunities
- Contribute to the growth and success of our advisory practice by enhancing market offers, knowledge, and overall strategic goals.
