What you'll need to succeed
- Current experience as a digital merchandiser within an ecommerce retail environment.
- Experience with launching sites and apps highly desired.
- Strong analytical ability with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with reporting tools e.g. Google Analytics.
- High attention to detail to ensure product data integrity and website quality control.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of e-commerce KPIs as well as inventory and stock management.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including buying, marketing, logistics and product. Ability to present clearly both internally and externally.
- Highly experienced using CMS systems e.g. SFCC with ability to problem solve with understanding and influence on development scoping to optimize KPIs.
Responsibilities Duties:
As a site merchandiser you will curate and optimize the online shopping experience to maximise product visibility, enhance user experience and drive sales by:
- Product management:
- Manage, create, and remove categories and collections on the website.
- Manage product recommendation and personalization tools.
- Ensure consistency of product SKUs and labels with ERP systems.
- Align with the online brand strategy plan and assist the dedicated teams on operational actions for acquisition, promotion, retention, communication, etc.
- Liaise with the purchasing team for new launches (in line with all stores).
- Manage the launch of products, including content request from brands and stock request from purchasing team.
- Ensure all promotions are active online (including discount promotions, GWP and PWP by country).
- Merchandising on site:
- Utilize sales and customer analytics to decide how products should be displayed online to maximize sales; this includes:
- Be a proficient user on SFCC to manage the merchandising online.
- Work closely with product and tech teams to suggest and test new functionalities and on-site developments, tracking KPIs pre and post change.
- Guarantee optimum brand presentation in homepages, landing pages and product descriptions.
- Product assortment by best sellers, unsung heroes and new launches to optimize sales.
- Filters and main menu navigation update.
