Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Engineer with proven experience in interior fit-out or construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring timely sourcing of materials, subcontractors, and services in alignment with project specifications, budgets, and timelines. This role requires strong technical knowledge of fit-out materials, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with project and design teams.
Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Construction Management, or a related field
• Minimum 3–5 years of procurement experience in interior fit-out or construction projects in the UAE
• Strong knowledge of UAE supplier market and fit-out procurement processes
• Strong knowledge of interior fit-out materials including joinery, gypsum, flooring, glass, metal, finishes, and MEP-related items
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, BOQs, and specifications
• Experience in package-wise procurement planning and execution
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills
• Strong experience in supplier evaluation and subcontractor coordination
• Familiarity with procurement documentation such as RFQs, comparative statements (CS), LPOs, and subcontracts
• Proficiency in MS Excel and procurement tracking tools
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple procurement packages simultaneously
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities Duties:

• Study project drawings, BOQs, and specifications to identify procurement requirements
• Segregate project scope into procurement packages, including materials, subcontract works, and long-lead items
• Float enquiries (RFQs) to approved suppliers and subcontractors
• Evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors both technically and commercially
• Conduct negotiations to secure the best pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules
• Prepare comparative statements and provide procurement recommendations to management
• Coordinate with project, design, and planning teams for material approvals and procurement timelines
• Issue purchase orders (LPOs) and subcontracts upon management approval
• Track deliveries and ensure materials and services are delivered according to project schedules
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors
• Maintain and update supplier and subcontractor databases
• Monitor market trends, pricing, and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Ensure procurement activities comply with project specifications, contractual obligations, and company policies
