Job Description

Our International Design Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Project Architect to join their team in Dubai to work on a high profile hospitality and resort projects. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Project Architect on high profile hospitality and resort projects in the UAE and beyond. Candidates must have worked for a recognised architectural or design consultancy previously.

Project Architect Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• 8-10 years of professional experience in architectural practice, with demonstrated experience leading projects.
• A licensed Architect (requirements vary by country) with experience in resort and hospitality design.
• Knowledge of AIA and RIBA requirements/deliverables
• Comprehensive knowledge of architectural design standards, building systems, and construction best practices.
• Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) software (Revit preferred) and other relevant architectural software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), Microsoft Office and project management tools
• A versatile architectural professional with a proven track record in delivering projects across multiple sectors, geographies, and organizational structures, with specialized experience in resorts, hospitality, residential and commercial.
• Proficient in navigating multicultural settings, with an appreciation for diverse communication styles, design values, and workplace norms.
• Skilled at adapting communication strategies to meet the needs of international clients, consultants, and teams, ensuring all stakeholders feel heard and respected throughout the design and construction process.

Responsibilities Duties:

• Lead projects from initial concept through Tender/Construction documentation.
• Serve as the main point of contact for the client, consultants, contractors, and internal design teams on design/technical issues
• Lead project meetings and coordinate with all stakeholders to ensure alignment.
• Develop the work plans aligned with the project schedules.
• Define project scope, schedule, and deliverables with project managers and leadership.
• Present design and technical ideas clearly to clients, stakeholders, and team members.
• Foster a technically strong studio culture, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
• Implement and monitor the Design Management Plan in a project
• Assist Project Managers in implementing the Project Execution Plan in a project
• Translate conceptual designs into practical workable/construction solutions.
• Develop and produce comprehensive technical drawings and ensure design quality, functionality, and innovation.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, accessibility standards, fire safety, and zoning regulations.
• Excellent knowledge of building systems, materials, and construction methods, sustainability standards
• Refine material assemblies, façade systems, and construction detailing in alignment with performance, budget, and aesthetic goals.
• Provide leadership during value engineering, design revisions, and coordination changes without compromising design quality
