Marketing Manager- IPP
Job Description
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience working with Independent Power Producers (IPPs) and Independent Water Producers (IWPs), utility operators, regulators, transmission companies, or power and water procurement entities.
To be considered for this role, you need to meet the following criteria:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Economics, Energy Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Master's Degree is advantageous.
• Minimum 8–12 years of experience within the utilities, energy, power, or water sectors.
• Proven experience in market analysis, market development, energy economics, utility planning, commercial strategy, or regulatory environments.
• Strong understanding of electricity and water markets, utility operations, and industry value chains.
Experience working with:
• Independent Power Producers (IPP)
• Independent Water Producers (IWP)
• Utility authorities
• Power and water procurement entities
• Transmission and distribution companies
• Energy and water regulators
• Knowledge of power purchase agreements (PPA), water purchase agreements (WPA), utility market structures, and tariff frameworks.
• Strong analytical, commercial, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent presentation, reporting, and communication abilities.

Responsibilities Duties:
This strategic role is responsible for monitoring and analyzing electricity and water markets, supporting long-term demand and supply planning, evaluating market opportunities, and engaging with key stakeholders across the utility value chain. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting market development initiatives, utility reforms, and future generation and water production strategies.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor and analyze electricity and water market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes.
• Conduct market intelligence, benchmarking, and economic analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Evaluate market opportunities related to power generation, water production, renewable energy, and infrastructure investments.
• Support long-term demand forecasting, capacity planning, and resource adequacy assessments.
• Analyze supply-demand dynamics and identify future market requirements.
• Engage with IPPs, IWPs, regulators, government entities, and industry stakeholders to support market development initiatives.
• Support commercial assessments of new power generation and desalination projects.
• Review market frameworks, procurement models, and industry best practices.
• Prepare market reports, presentations, business cases, and recommendations for senior management.
• Monitor utility sector reforms, energy transition initiatives, and emerging technologies impacting the industry.
• Support strategic planning activities related to electricity and water supply security, sustainability, and growth.
