Job Description
The Nurse Manager - Labor & Delivery is responsible for managing the day-to-day clinical, operational, and staffing activities of the maternal-child healthcare units. The role ensures the successful execution of patient care plans, department scheduling, and clinical protocol audits while fostering a safe, supportive, and efficient environment for both the nursing staff and expecting families.
Required Qualifications * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing (BSN/MSN) from an approved healthcare institution.

Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of Washington.

3+ years of progressive leadership or supervisory experience within a Labor & Delivery, postpartum, or neonatal intensive care unit.
Preferred Skills * Strong team engagement, clinical mentoring, and patient advocacy talents.

High organizational dexterity to successfully manage critical obstetric emergencies under tight schedules.

Excellent verbal articulation and structured communication mechanisms to guide large professional cohorts.
Experience Required 3+ years of professional case management or care coordination experience within an acute healthcare setting, including proven supervisory or charge-nurse duties.
Responsibilities Duties:
Key Responsibilities * Coordinate and execute daily nursing staff assignments, scheduling, and labor ward resource management.

Prepare clinical unit performance summaries, audit sheets, and quality assurance compliance records.

Monitor delivery room metrics, checking for patient positioning accuracy, protocol tracking, and immediate emergency response.

Coordinate with obstetricians, neonatal intensive care units (NICU), pediatricians, and hospital administration networks.

Monitor ongoing care workflows and promptly resolve documentation bottlenecks or clinical practice conflicts.

Maintain absolute compliance with federal guidelines, hospital policies, and state maternal-child health codes.
