Job Description
The Part-Time Cardiovascular Technologist is responsible for assisting interdisciplinary teams during invasive cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology (EP) procedures. The role ensures the successful execution of hemodynamic tracking, sterile field setups, and advanced digital imaging manipulation while prioritizing patient safety, radiation shielding controls, and clinical efficiency.
Required Qualifications * Graduate of an accredited institutional cardiovascular technology or radiologic technology program.

Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) credential via CCI, or ARRT certification.

Valid medical imaging practitioner license within the state of California.

Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and BLS certifications.
Preferred Skills * Extensive command over cross-sectional vascular anatomy, 3D electroanatomical mapping tracking, and sterile scrubbing workflows.

Calm demeanor and rapid diagnostic thinking under intense, high-acuity surgical environments.
Responsibilities Duties:
Key Responsibilities * Coordinate and execute specialized diagnostic and interventional imaging routines across cardiac cath and EP labs.

Prepare and calibrate high-resolution digital imaging systems, physiological monitors, and specialized surgical equipment before procedures.

Monitor real-time intraoperative electrical telemetry and arterial pressure readouts, promptly addressing any physiological variations.

Coordinate with interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, nurse circulators, and device technicians.

Maintain absolute compliance with radiation safety parameters (ALARA), meticulously tracking dosing exposures.

Assist with sterile scrubbing, wire/catheter manipulation, and inventory management for specialized cardiac hardware.
