Healthcare Assistant
Job Description
The Healthcare Assistant (HCA) is responsible for delivering direct, compassionate patient care and supporting registered nursing teams in hospitals, care homes, or clinical environments. The role ensures the successful execution of daily personal care assistance, patient mobility tracking, and environmental sanitization while preserving absolute patient dignity, comfort, and safety.
Required Qualifications * Professional Certificate or vocational training in Healthcare Support, Nursing Assistance, or a related healthcare track.

1–2 years of hands-on caregiving, healthcare support, or nursing home assistant experience.

Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and first-aid certifications.
Preferred Skills * High emotional empathy, patient advocacy, physical stamina, and gentle manual handling capabilities.

Clear, reassuring communication style to comfort and guide compromised or elderly patient panels.
Responsibilities Duties:
Key Responsibilities * Coordinate and execute direct patient support, assisting with personal hygiene, dietary needs, and physical mobility.

Prepare clean, sanitary, and fully stocked patient rooms, clinical cart arrays, and examination environments.

Measure and record vital clinical metrics (e.g., temperature, pulse, blood pressure) under the direction of nursing staff.

Coordinate with registered nurses, unit charge managers, occupational therapists, and patients' families.

Monitor patient physical indicators during shifts and promptly flag cognitive declines, pain flares, or skin integrity shifts to supervisors.

Maintain absolute patient privacy in line with clinical guidelines and data protection protocols.
