Junior Safety Officer
Job Description
Our Main Contracting client has a new requirement for a number of Junior Safety Officers to join their team in Dubai at a new villa development project in the Emirate. Successful candidates will have experience as a Safety Officer on MEP construction projects in the UAE and have worked in the capacity of Safety Officer for a Main or MEP Contracting company previously.
Junior Safety Officer Experience:
- Degree / Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related preferred
- Minimum of NEBOSH certification
- 1-3 years of experience as safety officer in recognised main or MEP contractors with villa or towers project experience.
- Ability to manage assigned areas and responsibilities.
- Strong team player with flexibility in work timings and allocations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
Responsibilities Duties:
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and unsafe conditions, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of safety programs, including training sessions and safety awareness campaigns, to promote a culture of safety.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and training activities, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and readily accessible
- Assist in conducting risk assessments and identifying potential hazards in the workplace.
- Help in developing and implementing safety protocols and procedures.
- Support in investigating accidents and incidents to determine their root cause and prevent recurrence.
- Participate in HSE audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with different departments to enhance safety awareness and practices.
- Aid in delivering safety training to employees on various health and safety topics.
