Senior Cost Accountant
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Cost Accountant to join our team in Dubai.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• 4–5 years of experience as a Cost Accountant in FMCG or manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, BOM, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP systems (Zoho or any ERP system).
• Knowledge of accounting automation and AI tools will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Immediate joiners preferred.
Responsibilities Duties:
• Prepare and maintain product costing, Bills of Materials (BOM), and standard costing.
• Monitor raw material, labor, and overhead costs; analyze cost variances.
• Perform inventory valuation, stock reconciliations, and physical inventory audits.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, margin analysis, and profitability reports.
• Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
• Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Warehouse, and Sales to ensure accurate costing.
• Monitor manufacturing wastage, yield, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure costing accuracy within the ERP system and maintain master data.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with IFRS and UAE VAT requirements.
