Warehouse / Logistics Worker
Job Description
Main duties:
- Receiving and unloading goods and materials
- Checking incoming shipments against delivery documents
- Picking and packing customer orders
- Sorting, labeling, and preparing products for shipment
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Operating warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks or forklifts, where authorized
- Scanning products using handheld scanners
- Maintaining accurate stock and inventory records
- Keeping the warehouse clean, organized, and safe
- Following company procedures and health & safety regulations
- Reporting damaged goods, shortages, or other warehouse issues to supervisors
- Meeting daily productivity and order-processing targets
Responsibilities Duties:
Requirements:
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience is an advantage but may not always be required
- Physically fit and able to stand/walk for extended periods
- Able to lift and move packages safely
- Willingness to work shifts, including evenings or nights where required
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Basic English is commonly useful; Dutch may be an advantage
- Forklift/reach-truck certification is an advantage for relevant positions
Typical working conditions:
- Full-time work, commonly 8-hour shifts
- Day, evening, night, or rotating shifts depending on the warehouse
- Work may involve standing, walking, repetitive movements, and lifting
- Overtime may be available depending on the employer
