Foreman / Team Leader (Voorman/Meewerkend Voorman)
Job Description
A Foreman / Team Leader (Voorman/Meewerkend Voorman) is responsible for leading a team and coordinating daily work on site. Typical duties include:
- Supervising and allocating work to team members.
- Planning daily activities and making sure deadlines are met.
- Giving clear work instructions and coaching employees.
- Monitoring safety, quality and productivity.
- Checking technical drawings and ensuring work is carried out correctly.
- Coordinating materials, tools and equipment.
- Solving problems and reporting delays, defects or deviations.
- Communicating with the site manager, project manager, clients and subcontractors.
- Conducting toolbox/safety meetings where required.
- Keeping track of daily progress and work hours.
- Working hands-on with the team when necessary
Responsibilities Duties:
- Several years of relevant practical experience.
- Previous experience as a foreman/team leader.
- Leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions.
- Ability to read technical drawings, depending on the trade.
- VCA or VCA-VOL safety certification, or willingness to obtain it.
- Driving licence Category B is often useful or required.
- English can be sufficient for some international jobs, while Dutch is required for others.
