Job Description
A Financial Analyst analyzes financial data, prepares budgets and forecasts, evaluates business performance, monitors costs and revenues, and provides financial insights to management for better business decisions.
The role combines financial analysis, accounting knowledge, Excel/data analysis, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and business planning.
- Analyze income statements, balance sheets and cash-flow statements.
- Review revenue, expenses, profit margins and financial performance.
- Compare actual results with budgets and forecasts.
- Identify financial trends, risks and opportunities.
- Investigate significant variances and explain their causes.
- Prepare financial models and business analyses.
- Provide recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency.
Responsibilities Duties:
- Assist in preparing annual budgets.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial forecasts.
- Collect financial information from different departments.
- Monitor departmental spending against approved budgets.
- Update forecasts based on business performance.
- Analyze budget variances.
- Support management in financial planning and decision-making.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports.
- Create financial dashboards and performance reports.
- Prepare revenue, cost and profitability analysis.
- Provide financial information to senior management.
- Ensure reports are accurate and delivered on time.
- Support preparation of presentations for management meetings.
