Essential Requirements

  • 12+ years' experience in electric propulsion, hybrid electric aircraft or closely related safety critical systems.
  • Proven responsibility for propulsion or battery system development on a safety critical programme.
  • Practitioner level expertise in battery pack, module and cell integration.
  • Strong Battery Management System experience, including SOC, SOH, cell balancing, fault detection and safe mode behaviour.
  • Experience with electric motors, inverters and motor drives.
  • Strong knowledge of high voltage systems and fault isolation.
  • Experience developing battery thermal management and thermal runaway containment solutions.
  • Knowledge of DO-311A or equivalent battery qualification standards.
  • Experience translating engineering requirements into supplier specifications and technical acceptance criteria.
  • Strong multidisciplinary systems integration and technical stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience with eVTOL or distributed electric propulsion systems.
  • Experience developing high energy density lithium battery systems.
  • Experience supporting GCAA, EASA or FAA certification.
  • Experience designing propulsion or energy systems for sustained operation in hot climate environments.

Responsibilities Duties:
