Business Analyst
Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to identify business needs, analyze processes and data, gather requirements, and work with business and technical teams to deliver effective solutions. The successful candidate will translate business requirements into clear functional specifications and support projects from requirements gathering through implementation and testing.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar analytical role; requirements vary considerably by seniority.
- Strong experience in requirements gathering and business process analysis.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Knowledge of Power BI, SQL, or Tableau is an advantage.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum and SDLC.
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Visio, or Lucidchart is beneficial.
- Ability to work with multicultural and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and spoken English; Arabic can be an advantage for some Dubai roles.
Responsibilities Duties:
- Gather, analyze, validate, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirement-gathering sessions.
- Analyze current business processes and identify gaps, inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Create BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, process flows, business rules, and acceptance criteria.
- Translate business requirements into functional requirements for IT/development teams.
- Work closely with project managers, developers, data teams, and business users.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, KPIs, and management presentations.
- Perform data analysis using Excel and, where applicable, SQL and Power BI.
- Support solution design, implementation, system testing, and UAT.
- Develop test scenarios and validate that delivered solutions meet business requirements.
- Track project requirements, issues, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Identify opportunities for automation, cost reduction, and operational improvement.
- Support change management, user training, and post-implementation activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure stakeholder sign-off.
