MEP Engineer
Job Description
The MEP Engineer is responsible for coordinating and overseeing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering activities from design through construction and project handover. The role ensures technical compliance, quality, safety, and timely delivery in line with project requirements and applicable standards.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering.
• 5–10 years’ experience in MEP engineering, preferably within hospitality, resort, infrastructure, or large-scale development projects.
• Good knowledge of MEP systems, building services, and relevant codes and standards.
• Experience in design coordination, contractor/supplier management, and construction support.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering and project management software.
• Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment.
Responsibilities Duties:
• Manage and coordinate MEP engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review MEP designs, drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical submissions.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
• Monitor MEP works during construction to ensure compliance with approved designs and specifications.
• Provide technical support and resolve MEP-related queries and site issues.
• Review supplier and subcontractor technical submissions and deliverables.
• Support design reviews, technical meetings, inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Assist with tendering, technical evaluations, design changes, and project documentation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable local regulations, international standards, and project requirements.
• Maintain effective coordination across multiple disciplines and project interfaces.
