Job Description
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our growing team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, hands-on experience with Zoho Books, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and a thorough understanding of UAE VAT regulations, financial reporting, and audit procedures.
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
* Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, CA Inter, or equivalent will be an advantage.
* Minimum 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE.
* Experience in retail, e-commerce, FMCG, or trading companies is preferred.
Required Skills
* Strong hands-on experience with Zoho Books and related Zoho applications.
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including:
- Pivot Tables
- VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
- Data Analysis
* Financial Reporting
* Formulas and Functions
* Dashboard Preparation
* Thorough understanding of UAE VAT regulations and filing procedures.
* Experience handling audits and preparing audit schedules.
* Strong financial reporting and analytical skills.

Preferred Experience
* Experience handling multi-channel sales accounting (Retail, Wholesale, E-commerce).
* Experience with inventory accounting and stock reconciliation.

* Experience working with growing SMEs and fast-paced business environments.

We are looking for an Accountant who is not only capable of maintaining books of accounts but can also provide meaningful financial reports and insights to management. The ideal candidate should be proactive, organized, analytical, and capable of taking ownership of the company's accounting and compliance functions.
Responsibilities Duties:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's financial records, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, preparing accurate reports, and supporting management with financial insights and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records in Zoho Books.
* Record and reconcile daily financial transactions.
* Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
* Perform monthly bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
* Generate management reports and provide financial analysis.
* Monitor company expenses and ensure proper cost allocation.
* Handle petty cash management and reconciliation.
* Maintain fixed asset registers and inventory-related accounting records.
* Prepare profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
* Ensure timely and accurate VAT calculations and VAT return filings.
* Maintain VAT records and ensure compliance with UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) requirements.
* Assist in external and internal audits by preparing supporting schedules and documentation.
* Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and government authorities when required.
* Monitor receivables and follow up on outstanding customer payments.
* Process supplier payments and maintain vendor records.
* Assist management with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
* Ensure compliance with company financial policies and internal controls.
* Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency.
* Support management with ad hoc financial reports and business performance analysis.
