Job Description

The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, guests, and company assets. The role involves monitoring premises, conducting patrols, controlling access, responding to incidents, and enforcing security and safety policies to prevent unauthorized activities and minimize risks. Security officers in Jordan commonly work in hotels, corporate offices, hospitals, residential communities, industrial facilities, and commercial establishments.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; additional security training is preferred.
  • Valid Security Officer certification or relevant security training.
  • 2–5 years of experience in security, loss prevention, or facility protection.
  • Basic knowledge of CCTV systems, access control systems, and emergency procedures.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong observation and situational awareness skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and during emergencies.
  • Knowledge of first aid, CPR, and fire safety procedures.
  • Professional demeanor and strong customer service orientation.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to stand or patrol for extended periods.
