Job Description

The Restaurant Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the overall management and daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, operational efficiency, and compliance with company standards. The role assists in supervising staff, managing inventory, maintaining quality standards, and driving customer satisfaction and business performance.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in restaurant operations, food and beverage services, or hospitality management.
  • Previous supervisory experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, customer service principles, and food safety standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.

Experience Required

3–5 years of relevant experience in restaurant operations, food and beverage services, hospitality management, or customer service, including 1–2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

Responsibilities Duties:

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing daily restaurant operations and ensuring smooth service delivery.
  • Supervise, train, and support restaurant staff to maintain high performance and service standards.
  • Monitor food quality, presentation, and cleanliness in accordance with company policies and health regulations.
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and service recovery initiatives in a professional manner.
  • Assist with staff scheduling, attendance monitoring, and performance evaluations.
  • Support inventory management, ordering, and stock control processes.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor operational costs and assist in implementing cost-control measures.
  • Prepare operational reports and maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and staffing activities.
  • Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to implement promotional activities and improve overall guest satisfaction.
