Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Contracts & Commercial Manager with 20+ years of experience in contracts, commercial management, claims, and project administration. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing complex, high-value projects in the construction, infrastructure, EPC, or real estate sectors, with strong knowledge of international forms of contract and commercial practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Law, or a related discipline.
  • 18–20+ years of relevant experience in contracts and commercial management.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, high-value construction/infrastructure/EPC projects.
  • Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and other standard forms of contract.
  • Extensive experience in claims, variations, EOT, contract negotiations, and dispute resolution.
  • Strong understanding of commercial controls, cost management, procurement, and project financial management.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience working with multinational contractors, consultants, developers, or government entities is highly desirable.
  • GCC/Saudi Arabia experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Saudi construction and contracting practices will be an advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural project environment.

Preferred Certifications

  • MRICS / RICS qualification preferred.
  • CCM / CIPS / PMP or relevant professional certification is an advantage.
  • Relevant training/certification in FIDIC contracts and claims management is desirable

Responsibilities Duties:

The role will be responsible for providing strategic commercial and contractual leadership throughout the project lifecycle, protecting the company's commercial interests, managing contractual risks, and ensuring successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all contract and commercial management activities across major projects.
  • Manage the full contract lifecycle, including tendering, negotiation, award, execution, amendments, and close-out.
  • Review and interpret contractual terms, conditions, specifications, and commercial obligations.
  • Administer contracts in accordance with FIDIC and other international contract forms.
  • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.
  • Lead the preparation, submission, evaluation, and negotiation of claims, variations, extensions of time (EOT), and contractual notices.
  • Manage commercial negotiations with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Monitor project costs, cash flow, budgets, commitments, and commercial performance.
  • Prepare and review monthly commercial reports, forecasts, valuations, payment applications, and final accounts.
  • Provide strategic advice to senior management on contractual and commercial matters.
  • Manage disputes and support mediation, adjudication, arbitration, and litigation processes where required.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company policies, applicable Saudi regulations, and project requirements.
  • Lead and mentor contracts and commercial teams, ensuring high standards of performance and governance.
  • Establish and maintain effective contract administration and commercial control procedures.
  • Coordinate closely with project management, finance, procurement, legal, engineering, and quantity surveying teams.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
