Senior Accountant
Job Description
The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining general ledger accuracy, directing month-end closures, and ensuring full compliance with accounting standards and local UAE tax regulations. The role ensures structural financial integrity and precise ledger reporting.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA, or CMA) is required.

5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a structured corporate environment.
Preferred Skills

Deep working knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT, and corporate tax regulations.

High proficiency in enterprise ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, or Tally).
Responsibilities Duties:
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and execute month-end and year-end ledger closing activities, reconciliations, and journal postings.

Prepare accurate balance sheets, income statements, cash flow filings, and audit working papers.

Review ledger accounts, accounts payable/receivable queues, and fixed asset registers for accuracy.

Coordinate with external statutory auditors, tax consultants, and financial controller teams.

Monitor local UAE VAT compliance, corporate tax filings, and statutory reporting deadlines.

Maintain strict adherence to IFRS rules and company internal control standards.
