Job Description

  • The Solution Manager role is an entry role within the This Company Solutions Team, reporting to a Solution Director.
  • The Solution Manager demonstrates leadership and quality in all interactions.
  • The role is primarily responsible for working closely with Account Managers and other Solution Team members to win new business and grow the footprint of This Company services within existing accounts.
  • Close collaboration is required with all This Company teams, including marketing, project and service delivery managers and technical architects.

Responsibilities Duties:

  • The Solution Manager role is an entry role within the This Company Solutions Team, reporting to a Solution Director.
  • The Solution Manager demonstrates leadership and quality in all interactions.
  • The role is primarily responsible for working closely with Account Managers and other Solution Team members to win new business and grow the footprint of This Company services within existing accounts.
  • Close collaboration is required with all This Company teams, including marketing, project and service delivery managers and technical architects
  • Solution Sales :
  • Supporting the solution selling of deals encompassing This Company’s established propositions and service offerings.
  • This comprises :
  • Contributing to winning propositions, costing, contributing to writing proposals and presenting to customers and responding to customers questions (RFI, RFP, etc.).
  • Proposition Development :
  • Supporting the development of new propositions, offerings & services brought to the market by This Company.
  • Customer Development :
  • Working with Customer teams to drive Innovation into accounts via Innovation Workshops, Well Architected Reviews, Immersion Days and other methods; responsible for articulating hyperscaler infrastructure services innovations and how SAP solutions benefit from running on cloud.
  • Bringing new This Company propositions, offerings, solutions and services to existing customer accounts to increase revenues whilst delivering increased value to This Company’s customers.
  • IP Development :
  • Contributing to the development of new This Company Intellectual Property that differentiates and adds value to the business as a whole.
  • Delivery Integration :
  • Providing the bridge from sales to delivery to ensure that sold work is successfully delivered.
  • Taking a consultative role in the delivery of key engagements from time-to-time.

 

Key Skills:

  • Developing commercial and business awareness with a good understanding of different commercial models
  • Strong on deploying methodologies
  • Solid understanding of both project and managed services delivery
  • Comfortable dealing with uncertainty and unplanned situations
  • Great communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Attention to detail and desire to probe further into data
  • Knowledge of SAP and Cloud technologies

 

Experiance Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent - expect 1st or 2:1 - MBA desirable
  • 2+ years’ demonstrable solution sales experience with a track record of playing a contributing role in the winning of multi-year deals
  • 10+ years’ experience in designing, implementing and operating SAP technologies across 5+ engagement lifecycles in senior architect, project management or service delivery management roles
  • 2 to 3 years’ experience in Cloud technologies
  • Multi-national and global customer engagements and consulting services organisation
  • Track history of leadership in delivery
