Job Description

Responsibilities Duties:
- An SAP Architect will take the lead role across a range of customer projects with responsibility forDesigning, planning, and delivering SAP environments on public cloud
- Develop and maintain the technical architecture approach, including development of architecture road maps and standards, sizing standards, change control standards etc.
- Work with business and project representatives to understand technical architecture performance, availability, and recovery requirements and translate those in agreed SLAs and KPIs
- Work with process and functional leads on customer SAP teams to understand the solution architecture
- Derive compatible SAP and non-SAP products, versions, and maintenance plans to support the solution architecture
- Work with customer hardware, hosting, and infrastructure, teams and support service partners to understand preferred technologies and capabilities
- Establish cloud architecture patterns, including network, storage, and compute
- Establish Disaster Recovery strategy based on target SLAs and KPIsDevelop the SAP landscape build and deployment plan including logical system
- Understand the Change and Release Management Plan
- Work with the Project and Business as Usual teams, the external Technical Service partner and the internal Infrastructure hosting team to define and implement the overall technical plan.
- Ensure the applicable teams deploy good SAP practice in operating the solution and advice clients accordingly
- Facilitate SAP migration assessment workshops
Key Skills:
A successful Technical Architect within This Company must have experience across four key pillars;
Technical Heritage:
- Have broad experience across all key areas of SAP Architecture with a minimum of 10 years’ experience of technical architecture design.
- Which should include:
- Deep technical experience with SAP migrations and the ability to demonstrate experience in a broad range of cutover technical approaches including heterogenous, homogeneous, SUM DMO, and near zero downtime models.
- Should be able to demonstrate and show reference examples of deep technical understanding of SAP Platform technologies such as the SAP ERP Suite, BI, reporting, and UI technologies across a variety of database types.
- Should possess deep experience with SAP cross platform sizing and the ability to translate existing on-premises models to x86 based cloud workloads.
- Must have demonstrable experience within SAP HANA
- Be able to demonstrate experience across a range of platforms and database types including x64, AIX, HP-UX, Wintel platforms, HANA, DB2, Sybase ASE, and Oracle and show experience administering and architecting into Linux (SuSE / RHEL)
- Should be able to architect and describe network design including but not limited to CIDR ranges, architecting across private networks, interconnectivity across IPSEC & AWS Direct Connect circuits.
- Be able to demonstrate experience and/or working knowledge of working on public cloud technologies This should include:
- Working with networking
- Demonstrate knowledge of cloud networking, storage, compute and other services
- Landing Zone Concepts
- Is technically inquisitive, is asking questions and is constantly learning.
- Passionate about innovation: A successful TA in This Company should remain inquisitive and open minded about new technologies and cloud services.
- As such skills in these additional areas would be a bonus:
- Big Data and Data Lake architecture concepts both in cloud and SAP technologies
- Machine Learning & IoT concepts and cloud offerings.
- SAP DevOps automation including Terraform and Ansible experience.
Customer facing:
- An SAP Architect in This Company is the primary contact and trusted advisor to both our customers and prospects, customer facing experience is a vital skill to a successful TA application and should include evidencable experience of:
- CXO level relationship engagement, the ability to talk at a business level to senior stakeholders within an organization.
- Excellent presentations skills, ability to design and execute detailed design workshops relevant to customer requirements.
- Able to translate SAP & cloud technical terms, designs, and concepts to layman’s terms
- Must be a team player.

Experiance Qualifications:
A successful Technical Architect within This Company must have experience across four key pillars;
