Job Description

The Manager of Case Management (Trauma) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing clinical utilization reviews, emergency medical access management, and specialized transition protocols. The role ensures the successful execution of post-trauma discharge pathways while maintaining the highest standards of regulatory compliance and healthcare delivery efficiency.

 

Required Qualifications * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing (BSN/MSN) from an approved healthcare institution.

  • Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of practice.

  • Certified Case Manager (CCM) or equivalent quality assurance credential is preferred.

Preferred Skills * Excellent crisis negotiation, hospital navigation, and administrative oversight capabilities.

  • Deep awareness of trauma guidelines, insurance verification models, and CMS updates.

Experience Required 3–5 years of operational management or shift leadership experience within emergency, trauma, or acute-care case planning networks.

Responsibilities Duties:

Key Responsibilities * Coordinate and execute acute trauma case tracking pipelines, including utilization checks and medical transitions.

  • Prepare individualized long-term care plans and check clinical compliance for trauma admissions.

  • Welcome external clinical liaisons and interface directly with patient immediate families.

  • Coordinate with surgeons, emergency nurses, physical therapy, and hospital administration networks.

  • Monitor ongoing admission durations and promptly resolve complex discharge bottlenecks.
