Geotechnical Departmental Manager
Job Description
The Geotechnical Department Manager is responsible for overseeing the operational, financial, and technical performance of the regional engineering division. The role ensures the successful execution of departmental business development, team mentorship, and engineering quality assurance while driving revenue targets and maintaining stellar client relationships.
Required Qualifications * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.

10+ years of industry experience with a proven track record of team or branch management.

Active Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
Preferred Skills * Exceptional business acumen, financial planning, and leadership capabilities.

Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to mentor junior and mid-level engineering professionals.
Experience Required 10+ years of professional geotechnical engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a direct supervisor or department lead capacity.
Responsibilities Duties:
Key Responsibilities * Coordinate and execute departmental operational strategies, staffing resources, and annual revenue forecasting.

Prepare operational performance reports, department budgets, and strategic hiring plans.

Monitor the technical accuracy of all outbound reports, proposals, and engineering deliverables.

Coordinate with executive leadership, project managers, and business development units to capture new market opportunities.

Assist with high-profile client consultations and complex project negotiations.

Maintain absolute compliance with local building codes, occupational health safety regulations, and corporate policies.
