House Supervisor
Job Description
The House Supervisor (RN) is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and directing clinical operations, patient throughput, and nursing resource allocation across the entire facility during a designated shift. The role ensures the successful execution of crisis intervention, staffing adjustments, and clinical policy enforcement while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) from an approved healthcare institution.

Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of practice.

3+ years of clinical acute-care experience, with proven supervisory, charge nurse, or shift leadership footprints.

Valid Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and BLS certifications.
Preferred Skills * Exceptional crisis negotiation, clinical problem-solving, and administrative workforce management capabilities.

Clear, assertive communication mechanisms to guide large professional cohorts during critical updates.

Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Experience Required 3+ years of professional clinical experience within an acute hospital landscape, including direct shift management or multi-unit supervision.
Responsibilities Duties:
Key Responsibilities * Coordinate and execute hospital-wide staffing alignments, adjusting nurse-to-patient ratios based on acuity and census.

Prepare shift operational summaries, incident logs, and clinical quality variance reports for executive leadership.

Monitor patient placement and bed utilization, checking for efficient throughput from the Emergency Department to inpatient units.

Coordinate with unit charge nurses, on-call physicians, laboratory networks, and administration teams.

Monitor unfolding clinical emergencies or behavioral crises and promptly address resource shortages or security protocols.

Maintain absolute compliance with state nursing mandates, CMS guidelines, and institutional standards.
