Outpatient Neurologist
Job Description
The Outpatient Neurologist is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and managing chronic and acute neurological conditions within a dedicated clinic environment. The role ensures the successful execution of comprehensive neurological assessments, electrodiagnostic interpretations, and specialized therapeutic regimens while maintaining elite standards of cognitive clinical tracking and patient support.
Required Qualifications * Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an approved medical school.

Completion of an accredited Neurology Residency training program.

Board Certification or active Board Eligibility via the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).

Active, unencumbered license to practice medicine within the state of Alabama.
Preferred Skills * Exceptional analytical deduction, neuro-imaging literacy, and command over modern neuro-pharmacology networks.

Empathetic communication skills to guide chronic neuro-degenerative panels and their families.
Experience Required Completion of an accredited residency track or active professional clinical outpatient practice experience within a regional neuroscience or neurology center.
Responsibilities Duties:
Key Responsibilities * Coordinate and execute outpatient clinical evaluations, taking detailed neurological histories and checking cognitive/motor indicators.

Prepare personalized treatment plans for neurological conditions including epilepsy, stroke follow-ups, neuromuscular diseases, multiple sclerosis, and movement disorders.

Order and interpret specialized neurodiagnostic arrays, covering brain MRI sequences, CT angiographies, EEGs, and EMGs.

Coordinate with neurosurgeons, physical therapists, neuroradiologists, and primary care networks to establish seamless care pathways.

Monitor patient medication tolerances and therapeutic responses, promptly adjusting anticonvulsant, immunomodulatory, or neuromodulatory regimens.

Maintain absolute electronic medical records documentation, satisfying institutional benchmarks and quality health tracking.
