Job Description
The General Neurosurgeon is responsible for delivering expert surgical and non-surgical management for disorders affecting the central, peripheral, and autonomic nervous systems, including their supportive structures. The role ensures the successful execution of complex cranial operations, spine stabilizations, and neuro-trauma interventions while maintaining the highest precision engineering parameters and post-operative clinical excellence.
Required Qualifications * Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an approved medical school.

Completion of an accredited Neurosurgery Residency training program.

Board Certification or active Board Eligibility via the American Board of Neurological Surgery (ABNS).

Active, unrestricted license to practice medicine within the state of Alabama.
Preferred Skills * Elite microsurgical craftsmanship, stereotactic navigation framework literacy, and masterful command over spinal instrumentation.

Responsibilities Duties:
Key Responsibilities * Coordinate and execute neurosurgical operative interventions, including craniotomies, spinal fusions, laminectomies, and tumor resections.

Prepare structured peri-operative management frameworks, dictating precise surgical steps and managing intracranial metrics.

Evaluate high-urgency trauma consultations within the Emergency Department or ICU, defining immediate neuro-decompression needs.

Coordinate with neuroradiologists, neuro-intensivists, anesthesia departments, and specialized spinal or orthopedic cohorts.

Monitor post-surgical neurological checks and promptly address complications such as CSF leaks, hematomas, or fresh neurological deficits.

Maintain meticulous tracking records satisfying federal coding, surgical safety parameters, and pathological verification targets.
