Radiology Technologist
Job Description
The Radiology Technologist is responsible for operating advanced diagnostic imaging equipment to produce high-quality radiographs and medical images. The role ensures the successful execution of patient positioning, radiation safety protocols (ALARA), and equipment calibrations while maintaining exceptional patient care and precise clinical documentation.
Required Qualifications * Graduate of an accredited institutional radiologic technology training track.

Active registration and certification in Radiography via the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Valid medical imaging practitioner license within the state of Oregon.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Skills * Deep structural command over human anatomy, multi-vendor digital X-ray suites, and PACS workflows.

Strong human interaction capabilities to safely reassure and guide compromised or trauma patients.
Responsibilities Duties:
Key Responsibilities * Coordinate and execute diagnostic X-ray procedures, ensuring proper exposure factors and imaging alignments.

Prepare and position patients carefully, utilizing appropriate shielding and immobilization techniques to minimize radiation exposure.

Review and evaluate processed images for technical quality, ensuring clear anatomical visualization before transmission to radiologists.

Coordinate with radiologists, emergency department staff, and inpatient care teams for prioritized diagnostic data handling.

Monitor equipment performance and promptly address mechanical variations or calibration errors.

Maintain absolute compliance with state radiation safety laws, hospital policies, and quality control logging schedules.
