Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced "Contracts Engineer" to join our EPCC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning) team in the oil and gas sector based in Dubai, UAE.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Law or equivalent from a recognized university.
• 1–2 years of Exposure in contract administration within Oil & Gas, EPC, or large-scale industrial construction projects.
• Familiarity with contract laws and commercial practices mainly in the Middle east region.
• Experience in contractual reviewing and interpreting project scope documents with contractual correspondence, notices, and formal documentation.
• Knowledge of tendering processes including ITT preparation, bid evaluation, and contract award procedures.
• Experience or related expertise of claims management, variations, delay analysis, and dispute resolution processes.
• Ability to manage and coordinate multiple tasks efficiently with engineering, procurement, construction, and planning disciplines.
• Proficient in MS Office applications; familiarity with contract management systems is an advantage.

Responsibilities Duties:


1. Manage complex contracts and sub-contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements while mitigating risks in compliance with MENA Law.
2. Assist in preparation of contractual correspondence, including notices, claims, disputes, delay events, and instructions in accordance with contract provisions.
3. Negotiate contract terms with clients and suppliers, employing strategic thinking to achieve favorable outcomes.
4. Analyze and interpret contract documents, providing insights and recommendations to project managers and stakeholders.
5. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure all contractual obligations are met and documented accurately.
6. Monitor contract performance and compliance, implementing corrective actions as necessary to uphold standards.
7. Prepare and present detailed reports on contract status, including financial implications and potential risks.
8. Manage dispute resolution processes, utilizing mediation and negotiation skills to achieve amicable solutions.
9. Conduct regular audits of contracts and procurement processes to enhance efficiency and compliance.
10. Stay informed on industry trends and legal changes that may impact contract management practices.
11. Create and distribute official contractual letters to ensure consistency with contractual commitments.
12. Prepare and review claims from subcontractors and vendors, ensuring accuracy and adherence to contract terms.
13. Review tender documents and prepare comprehensive Tender/RFQ packages in alignment with project requirements.
